How do I start setting up a website?

Why can I not see the new changes I have made to my website?
If you can not see the changes you have made when you refresh your browser it could be because you are accessing the website from within the NHS net (N3). N3 tends to cache website pages to make it's speed a bit quicker. It will show you the new page eventually. Unfortunately this is out of our control.
How much will a website cost?
£150 plus VAT per year. This covers hosting, support and access to your management software at any time.
How do I contact Wiggly-Amps?

Will the website integrate with our clinical system?
If you are an Emis or SystmOne user and use Emis Access or SystmOnline then we can set up your website so your patients can click to login to these systems from any page on your website.
What will our domain name/website address be?
Wiggly-Amps will register you are free NHS domain on your behalf. The name remains your property. If at anytime you wish to move there is no charge. The domain will end in .nhs.uk so for example www.thesurgery.nhs.uk. If you are in Wales it will end in .wales.nhs.uk and if you are in Scotland it will end in .scot.nhs.uk.
You do not have a template that matches our surgery logo, can you create us a template to match our surgery logo/colours?
Yes we can do this at no extra cost! Please see some examples we have done in the past on this page.
I already have an old website with another company, can I keep the website address?
No problem. We just need to ask your current providers to transfer the domain to us so your patients will not need to learn a new website address. If you have a .nhs.uk domian already we just need to ask the NHS DNS team to change the IP address of the domain. Transfering .co.uk domains are free. Other domains might have a small fee.
I don't have any experience with websites, how easy it is to update content on our website?
You do not need any technical experience to update the website. It is as easy to edit as a Word Document, just type into our text editor. The £150 plus VAT per year also includes support. Contact us anytime via email or on the telephone and we will help in any way that we can.
Can we edit the website from within and outside the practice?
Yes. All you need is internet access.
How many pages can we have on our website?
There is no limit. You can create as many pages/subpages as you want/need.
Can we upload our own pictures and documents?
Yes. You can upload as many images and documents as you want and add them to any page. We also have a slideshow page that you can duplicate as many times as you want.
Can we have a secure repeat prescription ordering service?
Yes, this is included in the price. To see how this works click here.
Can we include links to other websites?
Yes. We provide a list of known useful website links appropriate to General Practice. You can add to or remove these and you may have as many as you want.
Can we have a survey or questionnaire on our website?
Yes, your website will include the ability to create your own online questionnaire. You can also create as many as you would like. New websites also come with The General Practice Assessment Questionnaire (GPAQ). To read more please click here.
